Hypertrophic scars and keloids are raised, firm, slightly hyperpigmented scar that is formed due to abnormal response to wound healing. It is generally associated with exceed fibrinogen and collagen formation during healing. While hypertrophic scar is limited to the scar, keloid extend beyond the scar margins.
