Alopecia Areata
Alopecia areata is a common autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss. It occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the hair follicles, resulting in hair loss in small, round patches on the scalp or other areas of the body. Typically, one or more circular bald patches appear on the scalp or other hair-bearing areas, such as the eyebrows, beard, or eyelashes. Good part of the disease is that it is reversible.
